About Miba
A new take on traditional asian food with seasonal rotating menu
Miba is an asian fusion in Rochester, New York. It is listed at 687 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY 14607, which places it among the local businesses of Rochester that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Rochester is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Great experience. The servers checked what pastries were vegetarian and recommended the tres leches cake for us. Pictures is the Adeni Tea and Spanish latte. Both were great with oat milk!

Super kind host and restaurant establishment. Discovered this restaurant based on excellent reviews. The restaurant boasts a variety of dishes that can please any stomach that enters. They were able to provide recommendations and I had the Chicken Coconut Curry, the Spring Rolls, and the Pesto Pork Dumplings. Honestly, my favorite were the dumplings as the pesto sauce tasted so fresh! The host provided me with an off-menu matcha cheesecake sample that they are trying to implement. It was a Basque Cheesecake of Matcha flavor. They are experimenting with flavors, so feel free to make recommendations. The cheesecake was very smooth and provided just the right amount of tang.

We had one of the best Chinese foods here. We ordered crispy shrimp, beef flat noodle, orange chicken, beef salad, pepper beef steak, baby bok choy. Every dish turned out amazing! I wish I had taken more photos. My boys made a huge mess and spilled water everywhere, however the owner really took care of us and provided top notch service. The environment was pleasant and we will come back again for sure!

We stopped in for lunch and got the peppercorn chicken and steak & potatoes. These hit the spot if youβre looking for quick and tasty Chinese food with a twist. Both tasted fresh and flavorful, and the service was great. Definitely worth trying this new spot on Monroe!

Today was their grand opening. We told chef/owner Tony Du we wanted to try a sampling of different items from the menu. To start he brought cheese wontons, chicken salad, tofu cypress, and crispy king oyster mushroom. All the starters had a very unique tasty flavors of their own. I haven't had anything like these in any Asian restaurant before. Then on came the entires. There was pineapple chicken, pork belly, steak/potatoes and fried rice. All the dishes were also delicious and amazing. Tony is definitely a great chef using his ideas and talent to create these wonderful dishes. Good luck with your opening. We'll see what the critics have to say about this new twist on Asian Food.
